Although it's great for an intial concept,
IT IS NOT PRINT READY ARTWORK and here is what you need to know.

A quick note about AI artwork & screen printing 👕

AI-generated artwork is an awesome tool. We use it too. It’s great for showing ideas, styles, and overall direction. However, AI artwork is usually not ready to be screen printed as-is.

Think of AI art as a concept or rough draft, not the final design.

Why AI art is helpful:

• Quickly brings ideas to life
• Makes it easier to explain what you want
• Helps designers understand your vision
• Saves time during the idea phase

Why it’s not final screen-print art:

1. Too many colors
AI designs often use lots of colors and shading. In screen printing, each color is printed separately, so more colors = more cost and more chances for issues.

2. Very fine details
AI loves tiny details that look great on a screen but don’t print well on fabric. Small details can blur or disappear on a shirt.

3. Gradients don’t print easily
Smooth fades and shadows are hard to screen print and usually need to be simplified.

4. Digital art ≠ fabric
What looks perfect on a screen doesn’t always work on a shirt. Ink spreads, fabric has texture, and prints need to be planned differently.

5. Cleanup is always needed
AI artwork almost always needs to be cleaned up and adjusted by a professional to make sure it prints correctly.

The takeaway:

AI artwork is a great starting point, but screen printing has real limitations. A print shop still needs to adjust the design so it prints cleanly, lasts longer, and looks good on a shirt.

Bring your AI ideas — just know they’re the starting line, not the finish line.
