UNE RCC Lab

Natalie is a junior at the University of New England from Northfield, Vermont. She is majoring in Psychology on the pre-medical track. This will be her third year in the Reading Comprehension and Cognition Lab. After completing her undergraduate degree she plans to attend medical school with the goal of becoming a psychiatrist. “I’m excited to continue growing as a researcher and am grateful for the opportunity to work with Dr. Stiegler-Balfour for a third year!”

It’s time for Labbie introductions!
Jadyn is a senior at the University of New England from Rochester, NH. She is majoring in Psychology with a double minor in mental health and rehabilitation, and writing! This will be her fourth year in the Reading Comprehension and Cognition Lab. Her ultimate goal is to be a School Psychologist!
Jadyn is very excited for this year in the lab! Last year she served as the Lab Supervisor but is now working as the Lab Manager this year!
“I am so appreciative and grateful for this opportunity to work with the other labbies and Dr. Stiegler-Balfour! I have been in the lab since I was a freshman, and it has been one of my favorite parts of my college experience. I can’t wait to see what this final year has in store!”

Honored to be invited by the PSI CHI International Honor Society in Psychology to present as part of their symposium on involving undergraduate students in research at the Association for Psychological Sciences (APS) convention. Mentoring students through research has been one of the most rewarding parts of my career, and I loved sharing ideas with colleagues who share that passion.

APS is always a highlight, but getting to attend in the beautiful city of Barcelona made it even more special! 🇪🇸

Yesterday was the annual spring Undergraduate Research Symposium and Lab Party!

We had so much fun presenting once again, and celebrated another great year at Dr. SB’s house after!

Shout out to seniors Ella and Trinity, a big loss for the RCC Lab😔💕

Congratulations to our Labbie and Social Media Manager Trinity on graduating this May 2026! She will be missed so much and we thank her for her contributions to the lab! Good Luck at Baruch! 🧠🩷

Ludcke Lecture 2026

Congratulations again to Dr. SB, who more than deserved this honor as a professor, researcher, and mentor. It was an eye-opening talk on her area of interest in cognitive psychology as well as her incredible journey to get where she is now.
