This month I’ll be posting some of my favorite images from last year. I have a lot of work which hasn’t even been scanned yet since we have been moving and living out of boxes the last few months! Excited to reflect on the year and post more this month. Wishing everyone a happy and healthy 2022!

Nothing glamorous here but I just want those of you to know who are interested or have ordered a book in the last month! All orders will go out tomorrow. I am sorry for the delay. All of my belongings and books have been in a storage until since the end of October and moving has been daunting. I will also be closing down my website and store after Christmas for the foreseeable future as I focus on the fire academy and bringing the barn back to life. PS, photo books make great Christmas presents! 🎅🏽🥰

Life has been full of chaos lately. But! That’s not necessarily a bad thing, more par for the course. 😅 Yet, everyday Rosie is my constant reminder to stop, slow down and be in the moment.

Two months ago I decided to shave the stache and pursue a grand new life adventure! (long post but worth it 💁🏻♂️) The last few years have been some of the most difficult years of my entire life. Trying to be a great father, husband, all while aiming to make my artistic career a full time reality. I put everything I had into, got a business loan, published a book, worked out of an amazing studio space. Yet, none of it filled this void I felt inside me. I wasn’t happy and the path I was walking down didn’t feel comfortable. I pushed forward until late this summer when I sat down across from my parents and casually told them I’ve been thinking of becoming a Firefighter. Almost without missing a beat both my parents said I should go for it and then they asked, “what’s holding you back?” I felt very similar to the moment when I decided to thru-hike the Appalachian Trail, nothing was holding me back except for myself… So for the past few months, while primarily being off the grid, my face has been buried deep in medical textbooks as I’ve worked towards becoming an EMT. It has been nearly a decade since I’ve been in school so it wasn’t easy diving right in but as of last week I passed the course! The path ahead is long and steep but I look forward to each and every step. For now, I’m going to enjoy a little extra free time with Rosie and opportunity to create some artwork before I start the Fire Academy. 📸:

In classic form, and I open an unexpected new chapter in our lives. We bought a farm that dates back to the mid 1800s! It hasn’t been used for livestock in a long long time but we are going to bring this beauty back to life. One step and project at a time! You can follow us and our restoration adventure for this colonial farmhouse with a connected barn here ➡️➡️➡️ .maine
