Thorens TD 124 - 1962 fully restored. This table came in beautiful cosmetic shape and dreadful working condition. Tonearm broken, motor seized, and much more. Full table was disassembled, cleaned and lubricated. A “new” Ortofon SPU headshell was customized and installed to fit most modern cartridges and still be used with the RMG 309 tonearm. The tonearm was also rebuilt to use it’s unique spring tensioned counterweight. After 20+ hours and some elbow grease, this rare vintage combo of table and tonearm sings beautifully.
Over the winter break as things slow down, decided to do a fun project. Using a PS1 as a Cd player by adding remote control support internally, clear lid, LED lighting and a LCD screen on the front for viewing the music played. Getting there! audio

Marantz 2330B Restoration - This monster Marantz came in for a tune up. Tonight’s work was to remove the original power caps and replace them with this drop in replacement. Looks very clean once installed. Also cleaned out relays. Next up is to recap the power supply board, new thermal paste on output resistors and then to bias the amp.

This legend came in needing a little love. Replaced main power electrolytics along with several others, all tubes and other components tested and within doc. Wood cleaned with oil + beeswax and rectifiers replaced with diodes for added safety. This pre amp is ready to sound beautiful for years to come. 🎶

Small update to the Eico project. Hardware has been purchased, Chassis’ both sanded and painted, along with polished faceplates.
