Here’s all about our new Groundskeeper role!

✍🏽What You’ll Do
✅Work independently to maintain the farm’s grounds under supervision of the Farm Manager and Farmer Training Manager
✅Mow property
✅Weed whack fence line, farm field & hedgerow edges, and around structures and irrigation equipment
✅Deer fence maintenance, repair, and replacement
✅Removal and management of invasive plants
✅Fix and repair various farm tools and equipment such as garden carts, wheelbarrows, greenhouse tables, etc.
✅Small equipment maintenance (oil changes, cleaning)
✅Farm tasks including weeding, planting, and harvesting as needed

✍🏽Qualifications
➡️No farm experience required
➡️Small machine maintenance and/or repair preferred
➡️Tractor operation experience is preferred
➡️Ability to use a weed-whacker, etc. other
➡️Lifting and bending required, ability to lift up to 50 lbs
➡️Interest in organic farming practices and a love of the outdoors
➡️Ability to work independently, as well as occasionally with a small number of volunteers
➡️Comfortable interacting with incubator farmers, farm staff, and volunteers
➡️Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks in all types of weather conditions (heat, rain, cold, etc.)
➡️An interest in learning farm and maintenance tasks if you don’t bring prior experience
➡️Self-motivated, organized, punctual and attentive to detail
➡️Open-mindedness and positive attitude
➡️Satisfactory background and reference checks
➡️A valid driver’s license
➡️Cell phone communication
➡️Reliable transportation to and from the property (bike, public transit, car, etc.) located at 733 Cabot St in Beverly, MA 01915.

⏰💰Hours and Compensation
📍This position will be in-person, 18-24 hours per week, 2-3 days per week. Hours can be flexible
📍This position is paid hourly at a rate of $21 per hour
📍This position runs from June to November (specific dates TBD with supervisor).
