The Sanctuary Cultural Arts Center in Maynard isn't quite as big as the Boston Garden, but Carolyn Plummer (on stage and screen) is sure to deliver her usual killer set in the first-ever Stronger Than Chemo fundraiser on Thursday, June 25.

She's part of a fantastic lineup that also includes Steve Bjork, Dave Rattigan and Dan Donahue at a wonderful performance spot. Showtime is 7:30 p.m.

The public is welcome and the donations for raffle and auctions are amazing -- a one-night stay at the Boston Harbor Hotel, foursome at Cyprian Keys, $600 spa package from LuxDerm Med Spa, and a vet-for-an-hour experience, to name a few.

In 2024, the Danvers Polish Club (aka the Danvers Polish Russian Lithuanian American Citizens Club) hired us to do a show that was part of an effort to reverse the post-2020 membership decline that is threatening a lot of clubs' futures. Two years later, we're still doing shows (like one that you're invited to Thursday) and learned that their drive has been successful and membership numbers are healthy again.

But you should still come on Thursday (June 4) if you want to see an incredibly funny show with Mike Donovan, Paul Nardizzi Comedy, Dave Rattigan and Sarah May.
