Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has been raising serious concerns about what’s really in our drinking water — especially fluoride. Most people don’t realize how long this has been ignored. It’s time to question what we’re told and take control of our health. 🚰 .
📢 For the first time in nearly 20 years…
There’s a brand-new non-opioid painkiller on the market — and dentists NEED to know about it.
Meet Jornayvx — FDA-approved in January 2025, and already changing the way we think about post-op pain relief.
🚫 Not a narcotic
✅ Not addictive
🧠 Doesn’t even act on the brain!
Instead, it blocks pain signals peripherally (NAV1.8 sodium channels) — a whole new mechanism. #
💥 Could this replace Norco, Percocet, or Ultram for dental pain?
⚠️ Not cheap ($15 a pill), and coverage is TBD…
But it’s a tool we ALL need to learn about. Add it to your armamentarium. 🧠🧰
Tag a colleague. Tag your dentist. Let’s stay ahead of the curve. 💬.
What if we stopped drilling through the top of the tooth… and used the decay itself to guide us?
This new study in the Journal of Endodontics showcases a labial/buccal access protocol that keeps teeth stronger and patients happier.
Less drilling. More precision. Welcome to the new age of .

Can AI help diagnose your root canal infection before you feel a thing?
This new study from the Journal of Endodontics says YES — with over 85% accuracy using only X-rays.
The AI platform went head-to-head with 3 endodontists and even compared to CBCT scans as the gold standard.
📊 The result? A powerful new diagnostic assistant that could level up dental diagnostics in general practice—especially where CBCT isn’t available.
AI isn’t replacing your endodontist…
But it is changing the game.

“Root canals don’t hurt!”
It’s just a filling — but in the root.
Nothing more, nothing less.
If you’ve been scared off by horror stories or outdated info, here’s the truth: a root canal done right is painless and predictable.
🦷 No drama. Just dentistry. dentistry.
Classic Endo Lit: The Birth of the “Zip”
Ever wonder where terms like apical transportation, zip, and elbow came from?
In 1975, Weine et al. used resin block models to show exactly what happens when we don’t respect canal curvature during instrumentation. When stiff files are forced down a curved canal, they straighten—cutting the outer wall and shifting the apex 😬
This study didn’t just identify the problem. It gave us the vocabulary, the visual evidence, and the impetus for safer shaping techniques like anti-curvature filing, balanced force, and eventually NiTi rotary systems.
Without Weine, we’d still be zipping canals blind.

Endodontic Quick Tip: Does Diluting Bleach Kill Its Power?
In 1981, Harrison & Hand asked a simple but crucial question: how much does diluting sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl) affect its ability to dissolve pulp tissue?
Using porcine pulp samples, they compared full-strength 5.25% NaOCl to lower concentrations like 2.5%, 1%, 0.5%, and even saline. The results were clear: dilution drastically reduces effectiveness.
▫️ 5.25% = complete dissolution in ~4 minutes
▫️ 0.5% = over 2 hours
▫️ Saline = no dissolution at all
🧼 Higher concentration = faster, more complete tissue breakdown.
🔥 Heating the solution helped even more.
This study remains a cornerstone of why many clinicians stick with full-strength NaOCl — especially for necrotic cases where tissue dissolution is key.

First timer at the new Sofi stadium today. It was just a preseason game but we made it through halftime to check everything out. The grounds are beautiful - every tree native to California (with the exception of the sequoia) can be found on site. Also, the square footage of the roof is nearly 1 million sq feet. It was truly an architectural feat and really amazing to witness in person!
