Earth day is today, we’ve been quiet since we have so much going on personally. However, I can’t let the day go by without making an effort to implore family, friends, and community to make a conscious effort to change habits. So while today is earth day, it’s habits that we can adopt that can truly change our planet. Thrift, repurpose, reuse, repair, recycle. Shop the refillery at buy in bulk when possible. Shop and eat at small businesses in your community. Chains and big box stores waste so much. Eat seasonally, learn to forage, and eat either local farm to table or vegetarian/vegan. Walk when possible, carpool, bike, and throw wildflower seeds before a rain. Get kids excited about plants. Teach them how the trees help us breathe. Make a connection with nature. Respect her 💚

When we opened our doors in 2022, the goal was to get the community involved while creating a community. People with mutual goals, and similar thoughts. One of those thoughts is to support local and other woman owned businesses. I believe we did a great job in extending help, advice, and service where we could. That said, one of our community, has opted to carry the torch of sustainability and community. So we gladly pass the torch to who reached out and offered to fill the void of refillery in the absence of Verde. They are taking on our suppliers, so products will be the same. And they may start out with the basics but who knows what they will add.
Please follow them to see when their refillery will be available. There are some things with licensing and such that may take a bit. Also, please visit as a few of our vendors have already been selling at their adorable store. I hope this year they win best gift shop in Bethlehem.
They have beautiful turkish towels, jewlery and robes that inspired them to bring this marketplace to life. We wish them all the luck in their endeavors and hope our customers will walk just a bit further to get their refills.
The only way to see the positive of your community is to keep dollars local and shop small. You help kids pay for their sport’s equipment, ballet lessons and lunches. You support a dream. You build connections. You will never see positive impact that Walmart made on a community. But you will see how your dollars help your neighbors.
On my last night at the shop I am reflecting on all the things I’ve done tears I’ve cried, sweat and paint dripping all over my face, blisters and cuts on my hands and knees and feet. I can’t believe it’s over. I hope that no matter what happens you all know this wasn’t an opportunity to make money, although one hopes to make money in business, it was love, passion, and hope for a better future. Whatever goes here I hope they have success. And just know that community matters most. I will be sharing vendors and where you can find them and pop ups as well. We’ll be open 10-1 tomorrow. Thanks for the support

Get your hunny, some honey. Valentine’s is around the corner and your sweet deserves something sweet. is a local apiary so a spoonful will build up immunity for those spring allergies. Not to mention coat the throat if it’s sore, suppress a cough and best of all sweeten any waffle, biscuit or cup of tea.
