At CanoeHouse, Chef Rhoda Magbitang, recent winner of  Season 23, honors the restaurant’s deep-rooted legacy in Hawaiʻi while bringing her own perspective to the table. 

Influenced by her Filipino heritage, shaped by the island she now calls home, and guided by the relationships she has built with local fishermen, farmers, and producers, her menus reflect the people, ingredients, and traditions that define Mauna Lani.

To commemorate this milestone, Chef Rhoda will embark on a series of culinary collaborations across four Auberge destinations throughout 2026 and 2027.

TOP CHEF: Today, we celebrate Chef Rhoda Magbitang.

We are thrilled to share that Executive Chef of CanoeHouse at , Rhoda Magbitang, has been named the winner of Season 23, a defining milestone in an already remarkable career.

Throughout the season, Chef Rhoda made “Top Chef” history as the only chef in 23 seasons to win back-to-back individual Elimination Challenges at the start of the competition. After fighting her way back through Last Chance Kitchen, she joins a select group of chefs who have returned to the competition and gone on to claim the title.

“Anything worth doing is worth doing well. I’m proud to represent Filipino chefs, women in the industry, and anyone who’s taken the long road to find their purpose. I’m taking this title home to Hawaiʻi with so much gratitude.” —
