Car accident a few moments ago in front of my office. Neither driver knew what to do or what information should be exchanged. Here are crucially important tips if this ever happens to you.
1. It's likely that without a police report or a witness that observed this accident, both drivers will be at fault, so call the police for a police report immediately, if you are lucky, a witness will be kind enough to give you their phone number and name.
2. Take a picture of the other cars license plate first from your phone, then request the other party allow you to take a picture of their driver's license and insurance policy number.
3. Last and most important to your wallet, if you feel you are NOT at fault, make the claim with the other insurance company and not your own insurance. That might just save you a ton of $$$$$$$
