Crews today visited the East Child Care Center on campus to visit with the kids and go over fire safety topics as well as show the kids Engine and Tower 751.

Overnight Tower 751 responded to its 2nd fire in 24 hours. The Tower responded to a house fire in Co 10’s area. Crews arrived to find a well advanced fire on divisions 1 and 2. Tower 751 operated on division 2 opening up for the engine companies and performing searches. Tower 751 operated for approximately 5 hours before returning to service.

Tower 751 responded to a building fire in Co 26’s area. Crews arrived to find a vehicle on fire inside the service garage.

Tower 751 responded as the 2nd due truck to Merivale Rd in Co 6’s for the house fire with subjects trapped. Crews arrived to find a well advanced fire on 3 floors. Tower 751 operated on divisions 1 & 2 conducting searches and opening up for the engine companies.

Todays crew spent time training on aerial master stream operations as part of the turnover process for 2 driver trainees.

Congratulations to Technician Goudey on your promotion to Master Firefighter. Over the past few months MFF Goudey has been completing his training and evaluations to complete this process they include Hazmat Evaluations, Technical Rescue scenarios, as well as working multiple shifts as the Officer in Charge of both Engine 751 and Tower 751 while being evaluated.
