STUDENT SPOTLIGHT: Ben McFadden

Ben has been a student of mine for about five years and it has been extraordinary to see him develop from essentially a boy soprano to a bass baritone that resonates through any hall with strength and warmth!

He is particularly brilliant and kind; which made his most recent role as Horton in Seussical at his last year with T&K Presents: which made the role perfect for his personality and voice.

While at school, Ben partipates heavily in the performing arts program in musicals, plays and all three choirs; including two select choirs where he is a section leader for Chambers.

Favorite roles include Nathan Detroit in Guys and Dolls, Horton in Seussical, Gomez Addams in Addams Family, VP Panch in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, the Narrator/Mysterious Man in Into the Woods, Mr. Bucket in W***y Wonka and Mr. Duvall in Mean Girls.

Congratulations Amelia and Jake!

Thank you, Holly Lynn Conrad Smith !

STUDENT SPOTLIGHT: Kailey Labovitz

Kailey is a powerhouse in personality and voice. Her instrument is dynamite from bottom to top in belt and head voice strength. You get chills when she gets to sing out a huge ending (you might have seen her earlier this week with a snippet from her audition for "Waitress").

During the day, she is a music teacher at a Philly charter school and during the evenings you can often see her performing at local theaters in roles such as "Barfee" in Putnam County's 25th Annual Spelling Bee, "The Witch" in Big Fish, and "Alice Beineke" in The Addams Family.

Last year, she received 2nd place at !! She will return this year with a great program!

She is a hard worker and graduated from Temple University's Boyer College of Music and Dance with a dual degree in Voice Performance and Music Education.

It has been wonderful to see her grow learning to control her *massive* instrument. I mean, when I say this girl has sound, she has SOUND; and that takes a lot of time and effort to control!! She's killing it in all the best ways!

A big thank you to, Colleen McFadden, for this glowing review!!

Throwback to when Gianna, Autumn, Saanvi won honors at NATS Regionals in 2025!

STUDENT SPOTLIGHT: Jake McFadden

Jake signed up for lessons about three years ago. He started out very quiet and unsure about lessons to now where he has blossomed incredibly as a seasoned performer and student.

This past year he attended his first NATS and received a high score of 94 out of 100. He was praised on his tone and demeanor!

Then this past season at The Theater Next Door, he performed as Michael Banks in "Mary Poppins". It was so wonderful to see him up there meshing his beautiful vocals with acting and dancing a very involved and busy part!

Some other favorite past roles include Tiny Tim in A Christmas Carol, Winthrop in Music Man Kids, Tweedle Dee in Alice in Wonderland Jr, Will’s son in Big Fish, a Wickersham in Seussical Jr, Dexter in Singing in the Rain Jr. and a member of the Children’s Chorus in Children of Eden at North Penn High School.

He is an amazing young man and I am so excited to see what his future holds!
