The City of Berwyn parkway tree program spring planting took place earlier this week.
The planting was expected to be 50 trees (20 catalpas, 15 crabapples, and 15 Oaks), and the final number was close if not exactly that. (We are seeking clarification.)
These photos were taken near Ogden and Scoville and show two newly planted trees, a crabapple and an oak tree.

🌳Today, on Arbor Day, we were proud to join members of our community for a tree planting in front of the Berwyn Police Department. Planting trees is more than beautifying our city; it’s about creating a safer, healthier environment for everyone. Strong tree canopies can improve visibility, calm traffic, and contribute to overall neighborhood well-being, all of which support public safety.
Thank you to the City of Berwyn Sustainability Commission, Mayor Lovero, Public Works, the City of Berwyn Arborist, Berwyn Library Director Tammy Sheedy, and Mary from the Berwyn Tree Canopy Initiative for partnering with us on this meaningful effort. When we come together to invest in our shared spaces, we strengthen the safety and connection of our entire community.
