Holiday Chocolates and Gifts

Miss Maple’s Sweet Shoppe is one of the most beloved places in all of Hallowdin—but no one ever expects the shopkeeper to be Ruben.

With a name like Miss Maple’s, most imagine an elderly woman with silver curls and flour-dusted sleeves. But Miss Maple was Ruben’s grandmother, and after she passed, he kept the name exactly as it was. Out of love. Out of tradition. And maybe because the town would’ve revolted if he’d tried to change it.

Ruben runs the shop with the same quiet joy his grandmother once did. He remembers the recipes, the quirks of the candy jars that sometimes refill themselves, and the secret ingredient she always claimed was “a little bit of October wind.”

If you follow the scent of cinnamon sugar on the breeze, you’ll find the shop—always tucked between two trees that are just a bit too orange, like they’ve been enchanted to hold onto fall a little longer.

Inside, the shelves were full today.

There were Mini Boo Bites, those ghost-shaped chocolates with bat wings. Jars of Candy Corn spilled across the back table in a swirl with licorice twists and Halloween chews. A tray of Spooky Bark glistened under the window light, and delicate Pumpkin Creams sat nestled in sugared leaves.

Then you spotted the real showstoppers: towering Witch Cones, swirled with purple enchantment. A frothy Ghostly Shake with eyes made of chocolate chips. And of course, the famous Chocolate Brooms—a Miss Maple original.

Ruben gives you a nod as you wander. He never rushes customers. In Hallowdin, choosing a treat is a sacred thing.

So... which one are you taking home?
