Last summer, I packed Goldfish, fruit snacks, and granola bars. By 3 PM, everyone was cranky… including me.
Oh and BTW - you’ll wanna save this post 📌 😉
(Maybe just like you) I used to think summer nutrition meant surviving. Keeping the kids fed. Getting through the day.
We’d spend all day at the pool or beach. The kids were happy. I was running on iced coffee and whatever smushed snacks I could find at the bottom of the beach bag.
Then I’d wonder why I felt exhausted and starving by dinner. Just to eat and immediately bloat, which led to terrible sleep.
The truth?
Most summer snacks are quick carbs with almost no protein.
Which means blood sugar spikes, energy crashes, and constant snacking.
What I pack (now that our summer has officially started):
☀️ Chomps or clean meat sticks
☀️ Individual hummus cups + veggies 🥕 🥒
☀️ Protein smoothie in an insulated tumbler
☀️ Homemade energy balls made with protein
☀️ Hard-boiled eggs
☀️ Roasted chickpeas
☀️ Apples and nut butter
☀️ Fruit paired with nuts
☀️ Protein bars for emergencies only, not as a meal
Healthy eating doesn’t start at dinner.
It starts with what’s in your beach bag.
It starts with intention. Not as an afterthought.
Tomorrow I’ll share the summer routine that’s helped me stay consistent without feeling like I’m “on a plan.”
Until then, save this post 📌 for a quick win.

📣 Save $99 on detoxes this week (woo hooo!)
This is the very first step that I recommend most of my clients do when we first start working together. The goal isn’t necessarily weight loss (although that tends to happen too).
The goal is supporting your body with tons of nutrients and helping optimize your liver to flush out toxins.
Whether your goal is weight loss alone, or gut healing, or hormone balancing, etc… your liver supports it all. And it gets backed up from eating processed foods, living in today’s environment, and being stressed out.
The detox also helps you make intentional adjustments so you can improve your diet, sleep, and even mood. It includes all the steps and even recipes/meal plans if you want to use them.
(Yes I would customize this for clients but it’s still a great baseline for everyone)
It’s on sale 🥳🥳🥳 through Sunday.

Comment DETOX 👇- it’s on sale this week and is the #1 place I recommend clients start.
Whether weight loss is the goal, or improving their overall health, decreasing bloating, balancing hormones.
The liver is the foundation of all of it.
This detox is not starving yourself. It’s adding the right nutrients and enzymes to support your liver.
Comment “DETOX” and I’ll send ya the sale link.

“Your labs look normal”
- Your P*P at your annual appointment
Your fasted glucose levels?
92.
Functionally high but considered “normal”. Not diabetic.
You’re good.
A1C - 4.1.
Looks great on paper.
But here’s a marker that very few doctors are testing for... and it makes ALL THE DIFFERENCE.
Fasting insulin levels.
My client’s was 18.3. Her other numbers were within range. No one looked any farther.
And yet... her insulin resistance was the root cause, and why she wasn’t losing weight, no matter how perfect her macros looked on paper or how many days she spent at the gym.
When we dug deeper, I learned that she had been intermittent fasting in the mornings. Trying to eat a lower calorie diet, because you can only lose weight in a calorie deficit, right?
Eat less, lose weight.
Well, that’s not always how it works (and pretty much doesn’t work for women in their late 30’s and 40’s, especially after having kids, and especially when you are stressed out).
The first thing we did was make sure she was eating breakfast. And not just any breakfast, a high quality one with 30+ g of protein PLUS VEGGIES.
Yep, fiber is key too for losing weight, and macro trackers barely give veggies the credit they deserve.
We made these key changes, along with some other intentional shifts. Within 4 months, her fasting glucose was at an 86 and her fasting insulin was 5.8.
Oh yeah, and she lost 18 pounds in 16 weeks.
Want to dial in your results too?
You’ll want to make sure to look at the right data.
It’s not just macros anymore.

I’ve done 18 consults these past couple weeks.
Women struggling with:
✨ stubborn weight gain
✨ bloating
✨ exhaustion
✨ hormone symptoms
✨ feeling like they’re “doing everything right” but still not seeing results
And the truth?
Most women don’t need more restrictive calorie deficits, daily hour long workouts, or another random supplement protocol from TikTok.
They need a personalized strategy and someone who actually knows how to connect the dots.
This is what I do every single day. Reviewing labs. Assessing symptoms. Looking at nutrition, stress, gut health, hormones, inflammation, lifestyle, and the bigger picture.
Meanwhile, the women who take action?
They’re already building momentum, improving their energy, reducing symptoms, and finally understanding their bodies.
Don’t sit on the sidelines while everyone else starts creating results.
Your future self will thank you for starting now.

Walked into my annual GYN appointment today.
Awkwardly waved at people I knew in the waiting room.
Folded my clothes neatly before putting on the paper gown… because apparently part of becoming an adult woman is irrationally worrying your doctor might judge the pile of clothes on the chair. 🙃
Sat down.
Shared my personal health journey. How over the past few years I’ve worked hard to improve my thyroid health. Lost almost 30 pounds. Eating well, exercising. Trying to be the healthiest version, but still improving. 🚀
And within about 3 minutes…
“Your TSH of 3–4 is normal.”
“Probably hormones.”
“Just part of aging.”
“Oh—and let us know if you want micro dosed GLP-1s or HRT.”
No bloodwork drawn.
No deeper questions.
No conversation about stress. (When I outright said this is the cause of my thyroid issues - the HPA axis)
No conversation about sleep.
No conversation about nutrient status.
No conversation about gut health, microbial imbalances, inflammation, or other factors that can impact how women feel.
Just limited choices presented as if those are the only choices.
For me personally? Stress played a huge role.
For someone else? It could be nutrient deficiencies. Gut issues. Chronic inflammation. Blood sugar dysregulation. A body asking for support—not dismissal.
And here’s the part that bothers me most…
I spend every single day working in this field.
I study this.
I read labs.
I educate women.
I understand how to ask questions.
And if THIS is still the experience I walk away with…
How is the average woman supposed to feel empowered enough to make informed decisions about her health?
Women deserve more than 15-minute appointments and “this is just what happens when you get older.”
Because feeling exhausted, inflamed, gaining weight rapidly, anxious, bloated, or disconnected from your body shouldn’t automatically become your “new normal.”
This is exactly why I work 1:1 with women for months—not minutes.
We look deeper.
We ask better questions.
We order the right labs.
We connect dots.
Comment LABS if you’re feeling stuck. Tell me where your body feels “off” and I’ll tell you exactly what labs I’d consider looking at. 🤍
