As part of the Worcester County Arts Council's 50th Anniversary Celebration, we invite artists to submit work for "Coastal Echoes", a juried exhibition inspired by the voices, memories, landscapes, traditions, and creative spirit that continue to resonate throughout our coastal communities.

For fifty years, the Arts Council has supported artists and fostered connections through creativity. This special exhibition celebrates the lasting impact of art and the stories, places, and experiences that shape our cultural identity.

Artists are encouraged to interpret the theme broadly: from the beauty of our shoreline and natural environment to personal histories, community connections, heritage, resilience, and artistic legacy.

What a remarkable celebration of 50 Years of Arts, Community, and Connections!

On June 9, we gathered to honor the Worcester County Arts Council's Golden Anniversary and reflect on five decades of creativity, collaboration, and community impact. As we look back on this incredible journey, our hearts are filled with gratitude.

Thank you to our founders who had the vision to create an organization dedicated to the Arts. Thank you to our artists, board members, volunteers, patrons, community partners, elected officials, state and county partners, and friends who have contributed their time, talent, resources, and passion along the way.

Every exhibition, performance, grant, class, partnership, and creative opportunity over the past 50 years has been possible because of you. The Arts Council's story is not about a building or an organization. It is about people. It is about the connections we build, the lives we enrich, and the community we strengthen through the arts.
We simply would not be here without you.

As we celebrate this milestone, we are inspired not only by our past but by the possibilities ahead. Together, let's continue building bridges of connection, creativity, and opportunity throughout Worcester County for the next 50 years!

Thank you for being part of our story.
Many thanks to Phillip Cropper, our former Board member and talented culinary arts instructor for preparing state of the arts luncheon and the Principal, Tony Bevilaqua for allowing us to host our event at Worcester Technical High School Worcester County Public Schools MD

🌟 WCAC Grantee Spotlight: Lower Shore Performing Arts Company 🌟

As part of the Worcester County Arts Council's 50th Anniversary celebration, we are proud to spotlight our grantees, organizations whose creativity, dedication, and community impact help make the arts thrive across the Lower Shore.

This month, we are honored to recognize Lower Shore Performing Arts Company (LSPAC) as it celebrates an incredible 10 years of bringing live theater and arts education to communities throughout the region.

Founded in 2016 in Pocomoke City, LSPAC was built on a simple but powerful idea: make the performing arts accessible by taking theater directly to the people. Over the past decade, the organization has grown into a fully mobile traveling theater company, presenting musicals, comedies, mysteries, educational programs, and original productions in communities that might otherwise have limited access to live theater.

Through strong partnerships with local nonprofits, galleries, schools, and community organizations, LSPAC has created meaningful cultural experiences while championing arts education and local storytelling.

We are grateful to have played a role in supporting LSPAC's journey through grant funding, advocacy, and partnership. Their success is a testament to the power of collaboration and the lasting impact the arts can have on communities.

Congratulations to Lower Shore Performing Arts Company on this remarkable milestone. We look forward to watching your story continue to unfold and to supporting your work for years to come!
