We were ÜBER excited to take on a last-minute project yesterday + the whole team immediately dove in — McGregor manned the printer + die cut machine to ensure quality control, and the pups secured the front door to alert me of any potential interruptions from squirrels, wind or any other movement whatsoever that definitely qualified as a barking emergency.

For about 30 minutes 🙄

But as the wise + ruthlessly witty George Jefferson once said, “You have a very hard time finding good help these days.”

It’s been a few minutes since I’ve been able to dive deep into a hand-painted sign! And I’m super excited about how this beauty turned out! 😍 She spent her first century (give or take a decade) as part of a barn door in , but after a good bath, a few scrubby-scubs from my sander + hoursssss of meticulous painting, she’ll while away her golden years in . Enjoy your makeover + fresh, new life, ’ole girl! You deserve it!

Last night, one of my besties celebrated her 50th birthday in the most fitting way — a concert by a musician we've known + watched grow for 20ish years, our buddy Joey Harkum. For the pre-show birthday celebration, I had the honor of creating a few of the favors. I had two instructions: Make a banner with her wearing a Joey Harkum hat, and make temporary tattoos.

Sounds simple enough. Right?

Wrong. I don't do anything half-assed. I'm all ass, baby. I go ALL-IN.

I designed a "Grateful {to be} Alive" concert ticket that I used for the banner and also for keychain favors. I designed two temporary tattoos, and with the extra space on the tattoo paper, I printed a few of Joey's logos. I made fun little signs for food + cake. The ticket {both sides} and "traditional tattoo" design will be printed + framed.
