Here’s some tips to help keep you & your loved ones warm this snow season:

* Change those Air Filters! (especially if you have a heat pump or electric heat)

* Make sure all your windows are seated shut! (you’d be surprised how many windows magically open on the coldest & hottest days)

* Close your curtains & use a towel to block off drafty doors. (cold, windy nights pull a lot of heat outside causing your system to run more often)

* Change the batteries in your thermostat and smoke/co detectors!

* Keep a back up space heater or two if you have an older system in need

Run your faucets to prevent a freeze

Place perishables in a cooler outside to keep cold

Blankets can be used as temporary insulation over drafty rooms, doors, windows

Do not use gas cooking appliances to heat your home & especially with small kids or pets—Carbon Monoxide is odorless and has taken entire families.
