A sweet family of three, who moved from the East Coast to start anew. After first landing in Dublin CA, and realizing it was too suburban, the hunt began for a family friendly neighborhood closer to the heart of the East Bay, with an easy work commute to SF and a balance of quaint, convenient and vibrant.

Berkeley was the first city explored and where we met at our team’s open house in Central Berkeley. Though this home wasn’t the right fit, it created a basis for what Berkeley and some of its surrounding cities’ values and competition are like.

While Albany, Kensington and El Cerrito were also top contenders, it was Alameda that started to feel the most like home. After weeks of gathering data and gaining clarity on what’s most important, the perfect home surfaced.
