This past weekend, three groups (Groups 1, 4, and a family group) went snowcamping in the Carson Pass area, braving very chilly temperatures! One leader measured a low of 5 degrees 🥶❄️ Participants overcame frozen water bottles, dug snow structures, prepared meals, boiled water, and toured their shelters. Our volunteer leaders and assistant leaders set the bar for good cheer despite the cold 😄

The December 12th deadline to apply for the Sierra Club Snowcamping Series is fast approaching! In addition to digging, we like to hang out in the kitchen and carry heavy things while we snowshoe :) More info at https://www.snowcamping.org/

So the deadline for this year's Training Series is tomorrow night and we are already officially at capacity. We are still accepting applications for the wait list. Don't let this deter you from applying. Wait list applications stand a good chance of being accepted.
