Our mission is to produce knowledge designed to capture the imagination of legislators, stir the consciences of judges, and provide a dynamic tool for practitioners concerned with the impact of their work on behalf of the Latino community. We are also committed to ensuring that Latino students at Berkeley Law have the tools and mentorship they need to succeed in law school and after graduation.
To publish and provide these services, we rely almost exclusively on the donations of individuals, including Journal alumni, businesses, friends, family, and law firms.
Each day people like you step forward for Berkeley. Support UC Berkeley. Start here.

Earlier this Semester Justice Sonia Sotomayor signed a copy of Berkeley Law Raza Law Journal's Volume 13, Issue 1 from 2002. In this issue, we have a speech she gave in 2001 at the University of California, Berkeley, law school.
"I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn't lived that life."
For her full speech please go here: http://heinonline.org/HOL/Page?handle=hein.journals/berklarlj13&div=17&start_page=87&collection=journals&set_as_cursor=0&men_tab=srchresults #
