Travel Tip!

At the Travel Section, we like to share stories, moments, and experiences from our travels to celebrate and share our love of this planet we call home. Every now and then, we hear a travel tip or trick that is just too good to not share. This is one of them!

As all you seasoned travelers know, one of the most difficult things about exploring alone is not knowing anyone in your new place. We all recognize that the most authentic and immersive experiences come with exposure to the secret spots and local vibe of the beautiful new place we are traversing. The best way to find an experience like this is by making friends in that area who share your interests and want to explore and experience just as much as you do! But, unfortunately, that is much easier said than done.

In comes our little secret: the Brizeo app. Brizeo is a groundbreaking platform that fosters an environment to connect and meet new people outside of your inner circle, anywhere in the world. The app is gender-neutral and will match members based on your shared interests and experiences. You can also filter your criteria by nationality and/or by a particular university, which is great for students studying abroad as it allows you to find alumni or friends from other colleges.

Here’s how it works: login with Facebook and complete your personal profile. You can post a picture or video to the Moments wall (which is a global feed seen by all members) of your recent experiences. The matching feature allows you to connect with other members with shared interests, nationalities, or backgrounds. Love food? Connect with people who know the hottest restaurants in the city you’re in, and can share the best tastes of the local cuisine. Want to find a workout buddy? List Fitness as one of your interests, and Brizeo will connect you with someone just as active as you are!

You can also search any city in the world to find out which events are happening where. The app will automatically pull in the events from Facebook that your matches have RSVP’d to, so you can find events that locals are actually attending!

This is why Brizeo is an invaluable tool to have at your disposal as you venture into the great big world. Now, everywhere you go, you can make new friends and form lasting bonds with people who love what you love. Whether you want to experience a city’s nightlife with friends, have someone to show you the local secret spots, find a travel buddy, a creative partner, or a new friend, Brizeo is the app for you.

But here is the best part: you do not need to be traveling to want to connect with like-minded people. Don’t wait until you are at the international arrival terminal. Use Brizeo in your hometown or current city to make new friends and learn more about the place you’re in!

If you are interested about Brizeo, you can learn more at www.brizeo.com. Or just click the link below to install directly from the App Store!
