Let's hear it for Willy's Tree service . About 40 minutes ago a renter called me to say a tree was partially fallen on my property. This crew was on site in no time and on the job! Unsurprisingly they have been responding to calls since 3 am. All I can say is that I am very happy and impressed. Also SO grateful to my amazing renter who immediately spoke up when he had a concern!

The exhibit that my family got a hands on preview of is officially open at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles!

Having held this monster diamond in my hand, I can tell you that it's quite something to see. But honestly, there is SO MUCH in this collection that is at least as spectacular, like a meteorite that predates the solar system, and another that was from the co4e of another planet. The only known example of the rarest mineral on earth, Kyathuite, and much more.

100 Carats: Icons of the Gem World A new exhibition featuring the world-famous Jonker I Diamond December 8, 2023–April 21, 2024

Back in October gave my family a preview of this amazing stone, including a hands on with Jonker 1 itself. We weren't allowed to share that part on social media (still not sure if I can post the video) but it was really really REALLY cool!!!!

What can I say about with Dr. Aaron Celestian? Well he let my daughter touch the moon.
The photo is of my 8 year old holding an actual piece of the moon. OUR MOON. THE ONE IN THE SKY. She also got to handle a meteorite that was once part of another planet's core, another that was 4.5 billion years old, and more. And her great-great Grandfather's rock collection.

In the early 2000s my great aunt and my grandfather donated the rock collection my great grandfather collected running a general store in Bisbee arizona during its mining boom, to the museum of natural history in Los Angeles. According to Dr. Celestian it is a truly exceptional collection. In fact it has been consistently on display in the museum for many years. It was only down for rehanging. Given the amazing scope and contents of the museums collection this is a significant source of pride.

We asked the Dr. if we could come and show the collection to my 8 year old and he very kindly took us inside the lab. It was AMAZING. There is even a part that I can't tell you about yet because it's an upcoming exhibit, but will just say it was impressive.
Not as impressive as Dr. Celestian himself, but WOW. THANK YOU !!!! and thank you to arguably the most impressive scientist I have ever met!

Double Closing Day!
My listing at 3456maple.com (you may recall my music video) just closed! 11% over asking with 3 offers. Happy clients all around. This one was special in part because, when they bought this in 2017 they were only my 2nd ever clients. So happy to have been able to see them through this success.
