- I’m In The Band

So…starting with this book, I’m going to be writing more thorough reviews on my blog (link in bio) because Instagram just doesn’t allow enough characters in their posts for me to get everything I want to say out there.

While this is primarily a page about my personal collection of music and music related things, I also enjoy writing and talking about music a lot as well. I can’t shut up about it to be honest.

So head on over there to read what I have to say about Sean’s book 📖

- The Great Satan

Released on February 27th, 2026, this is Rob Zombie’s first album since 2021’s “The Lunar Injection Kool Aid Eclipse Conspiracy”, and his first since 2001’s “The Sinister Urge” not to feature on guitar.

It marks the return of (guitar) & (bass), and was produced by

Scott Humphrey was responsible for almost all of the songwriting and production (musically) on Rob’s first two albums.

While the public perception of this record seems to be that Rob has “returned to his Hellbilly roots”, I personally can’t help but think that it’s simply a matter of fans seeing two familiar faces being brought back into the fold.

Absolutely zero disrespect to anyone involved in the making of this record, that’s just my opinion. I think it’s great.

I actually love this album and have listened to it a million times since it came out. I own it on CD and vinyl.

I wanted to start posting on here again, so I figured why not start with the record that I was literally just spinning.

The images above are just some quick shots of the album and some of the pages of its massive layout. I couldn’t fit them all, so I just chose a handful that stuck out without really counting.

As always, I can’t wait to hear what Rob does next.

Also, some interesting trivia taken from :

Misprint: the Running Time printed on the spine and back cover is 229 minutes, which is incorrect. On other editions, the running time is correctly listed at 149 minutes (= 2 hours 29 minutes, which maybe where the error originated).

- Mellon Collie & The Infinite Sadness

Released 30 years ago today on October 23rd (UK), and October 24th (US)

Mellon Collie has sold over 10 million copies worldwide. That’s a diamond record…an achievement that only 116 other artists can claim at the time of this post.

The Smashing Pumpkins were my first concert. It was on November 6th, 1996 during the Mellon Collie & The Infinite Sadness tour. I was 11 years old.

This will always be my favorite double album of all time, as well as one of my favorite albums ever made in general.

Pictured in these slides are an original double CD from 1995, the 4xLP 2012 vinyl remastered reissue, as well as a cassette containing only one of the two albums. The J-card is for “Dawn To Dusk”, and the cassette itself is “Twilight To Starlight”. I have no idea how that happened, and I have no recollection of obtaining it in general.

This album means so much to me that it’s truly impossible for me to express it through words.

I can’t believe that it’s been 30 years since this was first released. Even after all these years, I still listen to Mellon Collie & The Infinite Sadness on a regular basis. Some music is truly timeless, and this body of work is exactly that.
