Running for Mayor of Berkeley 2024. Together, we will create A Livable Berkeley For All. Kate Harrison for Mayor 2024, FPPC# 1462505.

"I’m running for Mayor because I believe in a Berkeley that inspires the rest of the country to take action — on affordable housing, climate solutions, public safety for all, improving transit and mobility, and expanding green spaces and parks for the enjoyment of our whole community."

Just a couple of election day pictures. Being on campus was incredibly inspiring. Amazing turnout.

We started this campaign supporting seniors and youth who came together to celebrate cooperative housing. My last appearances last weekend were speaking to seniors at Redwood Gardens and rallying with youth for Telegraph for People.

People across Berkeley want the same thing -- a city with affordable housing beautifully integrated with retail and cultural amenities, a city that protects our planet & human rights, a city that is safe & healthy for everyone.

I love the creativity and vibrancy of Berkeley.

As Mayor, I will nourish and encourage our community culture. We will bring back the Kite Festival, save the Chess Club and Black Repertory Theater, keep the Mime Troupe and Cal Sailing.

Short term solutions yield short term results.

Issues such as crime and homelessness require intelligent and humane policies for lasting solutions.

Thankful for the endorsement of our dear friend Boona Cheema, former chair of Berkeley’s Mental Health Commission.

Together, we will have a healthy and safe Berkeley for all.

No matter your age or where you live in Berkeley -- our open green spaces are precious places that should be enjoyed and protected.

Thank you Linda Currie, environmental policy champion and organizer.
