I’m taking a moment today to reflect on something I don’t take for granted…

Being trusted to guide people through one of the most meaningful financial and personal decisions of their lives.

After 25 years as a real estate advisor, what still inspires me most is helping clients succeed in a market that often feels overwhelming. Behind every successful purchase is a powerful strategy and we also deliver a unique team of complimentary expertise. I’m incredibly grateful for my unique team of advisors who deliver just that!

This morning, I sat alongside my clients at the closing table, helping them understand over 200+ pages of loan documents as they purchased their very first home. We had competed against five other offers and we won on their very first attempt!

That outcome wasn’t luck.

It came from our integrated approach: thoughtful financial planning, strategic mortgage advisement, insurance guidance, our deep understanding of the local markets, and powerful negotiations strategy. All of this integrated and working together, positioned our clients for success before they even wrote an offer.

But beyond the unique strategy, it’s the people who make this work so meaningful. One of these clients is an Oakland art teacher, the other a rare book restorer. They help their communities. They are diverse, smart and creative individuals pursuing homeownership in a complex Bay Area market. They reminded me why I love what I do, not just with their trust, but with a gift. It's a loving hand-drawn card depicting their new home. I cherish their kind gift.

Saying “So Long” to our Solano office. The team and is moving to Red Oak’s El Cerrito Office, which happens to also be just a 5 minute walk from Derrick’s house. For as long as the team has been around 20+ years and almost as long as Red Oak itself has been around, it’s been at 1891 Solano Avenue in Berkeley. It’s the end of an era, but also a new beginning. We should be fully in our new (to us) El Cerrito digs in January or February🤞🏾.
