We are a nonprofit that fights both food insecurity and food waste. We take food that would have gone unused and bring it to those who need it.

What does it mean to provide food access? More that it seems...Food access relates to a person's ability to obtain and consume adequate, nutritious food. It means they have nearby grocery stores, reliable transportation, and the ability to choose what they eat, regardless of socioeconomic factors. We break it down more in this week's blog! Last week, a bill was introduced to Congress that could positively change the food recovery landscape in a substantial way - and we're excited! The NO TIME TO Waste Act is a comprehensive, bipartisan bill to expand the work of the USDA in reducing food waste, and coordinate efforts between various stakeholders to make a broader impact. As the leader of in Chicago, Nita Hailey-Gamble is offering positivity to her community through organized activities, social outreach and better resources. She spends Saturday mornings at Farmers' Markets around the city, bringing fresh produce back to her neighborhood. We teamed up with to create a scalable food recovery solution for corporations, and share resources to support those efforts. One year later, we've got 10 clients on board in companies across the U.S., all able to adopt more sustainable practices by donating surplus meals from office caterings, and support their local communities. This holiday season, we partnered with TAO Group Hospitality to bring over 300 healthy and delicious meals from TAO Downtown to organizations in New York City. It's the kind of food we all deserve and want to eat.
