Our community invites you to find a home here, a place of peace and caring.
Whether you come to Dharma College to work, to take courses, or to attend a meeting or event, you will be surrounded by people who wish the world well. On behalf of Dharma, Executive Director Wangmo Dixey did it again! For the fifth time, we gathered at the White House to celebrate the sacred occasion of Vesak.
Buddhist leaders representing the Theravada, Mahayana, and Vajrayana traditions traveled from across the United States to join together in this meaningful observance. It was a beautiful and deeply moving day dedicated to prayers for world peace, compassion, and inner harmony.
Our heartfelt gratitude to the White House Faith Office for bringing together this special gathering and for recognizing the importance of Vesak as a time of reflection, wisdom, and loving-kindness.
On behalf of the International Buddhist Association of America, we wish everyone around the world a joyful and peaceful Vesak.
May the light of the Buddha's wisdom continue to inspire understanding, compassion, and peace for all beings.

Today, Dharma College was delighted to host part of the Berkeley Bay Area Book Festival.
One of the featured speakers was our own faculty member, Dr. Ron Purser, author of the influential book McMindfulness. Ron has recently released his newest book, Mind Space, which explores how we can cultivate greater clarity, presence, and freedom amidst the distractions of modern life.
Here are a few photos from a wonderful day of conversation, learning, and community.
If you are interested in exploring the themes of Mind Space more deeply, we invite you to join us for our upcoming Annual Retreat, where we will continue the inquiry into awareness, attention, and the possibilities of a more spacious mind.

I only teach this course twice a year at Dharma College—and summer is one of those rare opportunities.
If you’ve been curious to join me, there are still a few spots available.
One of the things I love most about this class is that we keep it intentionally small. It becomes less like a traditional course and more like a space for real conversation, reflection, and almost a coaching experience—where questions can be explored personally and practically.
Want to make work part of your spiritual path?
Together we’ll explore how to bring more joy, meaning, awareness, and balance into the place where many of us spend most of our lives.
Work doesn’t have to feel separate from what matters most. It can become a place of growth, practice, and transformation.
Join me for:
Working with Joy: Transforming Work into a Spiritual Path
-Live online this summer
-Recordings available
I’d love to have you join me.
