This poem resonates with me. Even my voice is choked and sometimes I find it difficult to sing songs of my soul as the noises of greed, injustices, racism and genocide are increasing around us.
It has been my dream to bring humanity close to nature and soil to find love in abundance and rest for a stressed mind but if I can’t hear bird songs even, I find my voice becoming more enraged and political. My daily walks around the Bay keep me sane and connected to the soil. I walk in nature and nature walks through my soul in my painting, sculpture and poetry.
