“Words That Build, Not Break”
Ephesians 4:29

Every word we speak plants something. It can grow into peace, hope, and strength—or into hurt that lingers. This verse calls us to guard our tongues, choosing speech that builds, not breaks. Even in moments of frustration, pause and ask—will my words add weight to someone’s burden or lighten it? Speak in a way that leaves people stronger than you found them. Grace is powerful; let it flow from your mouth today.

One of the greatest lessons I’ve learned a little before and through all my cancer treatment.
I hope this helps someone today.

When God decides that something or someone is no longer meant for you, He will not allow you to find peace in it!

You continue to try and force relationships, force friendships, force jobs, force moving into that apartment or that home, force getting that loan or getting that car that you think is best for you—but when you force things, God will force you out of it!

When you chase God, God will give you things that you don’t need to chase! Trust your heart! If it does not feel right—if it brings you chaos, constant chaos—it is not from God! God literally wants you to live a life of peace!

I’m not saying you won’t go through obstacles. I’m not saying you won’t go through trials and tribulations. But the trials and tribulations that God puts you through are for your growth—for your spirit to become stronger, for you to become wiser, for you to get closer to Him!

But sometimes we confuse the things that we walk ourselves into with the things that we think God is putting us through. Let me backtrack: we walk ourselves right into complete chaos! We walk ourselves into the wrong situations, the wrong relationships, the wrong jobs, the wrong friendships—and the list can go on! And we have the nerve to sit here and say, “God, why would You put me through that?!”

No! No! No! You put yourself through that! I put myself through that! Because it’s not just you—it’s me too! But we don’t get the right to turn to God and say, “Why would You do that?!”

God comes to save you when you walk yourself into the wrong situations! And if God is teaching you the same thing over and over, and you’re not learning from it, and you keep going through the same exact trials and obstacles—eventually God is going to yank you out of it! And it’s not going to be pleasant!

Let me say that one more time: When God has decided something or someone is not meant for you, He will not allow you to find peace in it!
