We hope you are enjoying the beautiful weather.
The ACM community garden sure is loving it now that things are back in order. Our garden has some support needs so we are tapping into the community it feeds for some reciprocal support.
If any community members are available to give 1-3 hours a week to help plant and maintain our little plot, please send us a message or email to get started.

If anybody has any leftover compost and other soil amendments as well as any plant starters, we are happy to coordinate with you and and put them to good use.

Our goal for the garden is to contribute to an abundance of accessibility to local, nutritious food for all community members.

We are so excited to present the 2nd Annual Farm- To - Table FREE Community Meal at Berea Farmers Market on June 13th from 11AM-1PM. We have so much lined up and cannot wait to serve some delicious food that has been locally sourced to support our community farmers and gardens. There will be a special performance by Berea Old Time Music Circle. So make sure to mark your calendars and come on down. # AMC

It's going to be a sunny and exciting time at the Free Market!

We will as usual provide a lite, FREE meal.

You have the opportunity to drop off items you no longer need or want , or "shop" for things you've been looking for, and take them home at no cost.

You are helping keep things out of the landfill, give items a second life (or 3rd or 4th or 5th!), and ensuring your community members have barrier-free access to useful and enjoyable items.

It is our pleasure to announce that we have returned for a second year in a row to collaborate with Berea Farmers Market on a Farm to Fork event!

Last year's was a blast and drew quite the crowd. So many smiling faces and full tummies. Most importantly we got the opportunity to really get to know our local gardeners and farmers who feed us. 💚

Not to mention we got to exemplify how local food supply chains are an abundant resource when supported by the community.

Come on out on June 13th and enjoy all that Berea Farmers Market has to offer along with ACM's FREE Farm to Fork meal and meet your neighbors. There will be live entertainment, as well!

We want to say thank you to everybody who showed up to our event over the weekend. It was a great to be able to "Meat and Greet" our neighbors, all while enjoying some fresh baked goodies! 👋 We have another free food event upcoming. However, the date has changed. This years Second Annual Farm To Table event in partnership with Farmers Market, will be held on June 13th instead of June the 6th. 🥬🫛🍞🥚
Last year's was a big hit and drew a really fun and sweet crowd. Can't wait to see you all again!

Some collaborations will always hold a special place in our hearts here at ACM!

We are deeply grateful to have been invited to stand alongside New Opportunity School for Women and Hope's Wings Domestic Violence Program in support of women and children throughout our community. These organizations have spent decades doing the difficult, often unseen work of creating safer, healthier, and more hopeful pathways forward, to provide protection, dignity, stability, and the opportunity to heal.

Women and children are not secondary pieces of a community — they are its foundation, its future, and so much of its heart. To help create a safer and more enriching environment for them is not charity. It is community preservation. It is humanity remembering itself.

At ACM, we may appear to simply “feed people". And that's okay! We believe feeding each other should be far more normalized in this world than it currently is. But what matters most to us is that the nourishment we provide is barrier-free. No performance. No status check. No gatekeeping. Just nourishment, freely given.

Before all the divisions, expectations, titles, and struggles of modern life, humanity has always shared one common ground. We all need to be fed, cared for, and included in the act of nourishment. There is something deeply important about being reminded you are worthy of that experience without needing to "earn" it first.

Thank you again to New Opportunity School for Women and HOPE’s Wings for allowing us to contribute, collaborate, and stand beside causes that are so vital to the wellbeing of this community. We are sincerely honored to have been included.

We are so excited for this upcoming Thursday Berea Free Market! Come down for some nourishing food and FREE shopping. If you have items that need a new home, you can drop them off before the event, between 5:00 p.m. and 5:50 p.m.. While you're there, you're bound to find useful things that need a new home, and get more acquainted with members of your community!
