3rd grade had a storybook engineering STEAM challenge to create art easels from random materials that would stand upright and hold their canvas allowing them to paint. They used the engineering design process to create their easels. It wasn't easy and many students had to adjust their initial creations.

Second grade has been learning about fall and why and how leaves change colors. They have been working on creating fall tree models with coffee filters, recycled markers, and lunch bags. They experimented with color mixing and design last week. This week they created their tree models. Next week they will assemble their trees and display them for others to enjoy.

Kindergarten kiddos are working on making pumpkins with cut strips of magazines. They are working hard on cutting straight lines and glueing the pieces side by side to cover their pumpkins. This is the first part of their project. We love fine motor practice and creating with lines and texture.
