1 Corinthians 16:13 Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.

Act like men and stand fast in the faith! That’s what this verse says. God needs more men and women who are willing to stand up and be counted for Him. After all, God will stand by our side through thick and thin. He will never leave nor forsake us.

Remember God’s love for you, this morning. Take time to think about His love and how much He loves you and how He has proven it in your life. Don’t rush through this thinking process. If you will meditate on His love, you will begin to recognize His power in you to live with courage through all the ways the devil is trying to discourage you.

Romans 8:1-2
1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

Jesus’ sacrifice on the Cross was sufficient to take care of your guilt not only in the past but also in the present and future. There is no condemnation for those who are in Jesus! What He did on the Cross solved the terrible problem of sin that started with the Fall in the Garden of Eden.

The Gospel really is the best news you can imagine. Jesus took our sin – Jesus became sin for us without becoming a sinner – and He gave us His perfect righteousness (2 Corinthians 5:21). What’s even more amazing; this is an eternal transaction!

Be careful with this! Willful, continual sin is a no no!!!!

Romans 6:1-2
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
[2] God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

Rejoice and enjoy your guilt-free standing in Christ.

Jeremiah 29:13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

We are not perfect even in our seeking the Lord nor does God expect perfection here. However, He does expect perfection in the effort, itself. He blesses the intensity (all your heart) of the search!

God is pleased with you when you keep on seeking Him though it is so hard. As you struggle to find Him in your difficult circumstances, your focus is on Him (Colossians 3:1-2) and you become even more aware of His presence. Before you know it, your faith increases as you persevere (Romans 5:3) and in spite of your troubles, you feel more alive and victorious (2 Peter 1:5-6)

Galatians 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

Life is a choice. The way I live my life is my choice. I can choose to live either in the flesh or in the Spirit. Therefore, I am the way I live.
Even though how I choose to live is up to me, the Word of God makes the end result of how I live very clear in Galatians 5:

Lamentations 3:25 The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.

Have you ever sat behind a young child in church? After the child has sat still for a few minutes, the fidgeting starts. But wait. Before we are too critical of the little child, we should examine ourselves. That squirming child is how we are in our relationship with God. We are usually so busy fooling around with the activities of life that we miss hearing what God wants to tell us.

Stop fidgeting for a few minutes each day. Read the Bible and listen to what Good is saying to you.

Isaiah 46:4
And even to your old age I am he; and even to hoar hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you.

God really cares about us and always will. He says; “I will be your God throughout your lifetime – even when your hair is white with age. I made you and I will care for you.”

God doesn’t promise that your body will never deteriorate. I am a testament of that! But He does guarantee your soul will be preserved in a new body for all eternity if you commit yourself and your life to Him.

Philippians 4:19
But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
