4/9/26 - 10 AM The Water Crew is on-site where a main has ruptured. Customers in the Brownwood Subdivision, Troutt Subdivision, and Rio Grande areas will notice reduced to no pressure for 2-4 hours while the necessary repairs are made.

The contractor working on Hiland Pl has damaged another section of the water main. Customers on Hiland Pl, Whitlock, Carson, Newcomb, Houston and possibly other surrounding streets will experience a water outage or low water pressure for approximately 4-6 hours.

The Water Dept and Electric Dept are working on Ferguson Dr where a water main has ruptured. The Electric Dept is having to turn the power off at a transformer in the area that has flooded and is on fire. Customers/ Businesses in the area of Ferguson Dr/Military RD intersection heading North to the 1-30 service Rd will experience a Water outage and Electric outage for approximately 4-6 hours.

WATER OUTAGE

The Water Dept will be working on Silica Hts to replace a fire hydrant. Customers in the following areas will notice a water outage or low water pressure for approximately 2-4 hours.

Chatfield Rd , S Summit, Myers, Coral Cv, Tiner Cv, Cole Dr, Country Oaks Dr, Church St, and Wakely Cv. some other side streets not named may experience low water pressure as well.

Electric Crews are making a repair/upgrade to the lines in the area of Watts Rd., Durwood, & Lakeview. Power should be restored within an hour.

Water Crew is making a repair on South St, customers in the area from Conrad to the new Dollar General will notice reduced to no pressure for approx. 2-4 hours while repairs are made.

Share Board Opening

The Benton Public Utilities Commission is currently accepting resumes from citizens interested in serving on the Share Board. The Share Board Committee, independently of Benton Utilities, has responsibility to determine which applicants receive assistance through the Share Program. There is no salary with the position but expenses incurred in regard to the Share Board business could be reimbursed. Committee Members must reside in the City of Benton.
