The Year of the Fire Horse šŸ”„šŸ“

This is the year of the fire horse in Chinese astrology, a time of bold, innovative, transformative change, and I’ve been riding one on a most surprising journey.

Ironically, at the beginning of May, I was going to write a post about how this whole fire horse thing seemed more like whack-a-mole. I’m already dealing with my husband’s Alzheimer’s diagnosis and then we found out he has a cancer diagnosis too and suddenly there’s a whole new set of doctors and appointments and treatments to manage. Whack-a-mole is a reality for me but there’s more.

Here’s what happened next. That fire horse bucked me off.

First, the inspector found some creaks in the old bones of our house. Repairable (and as I write almost all repaired) but it scared those buyers off and they pulled out of the deal.

I wasn’t too dismayed. Such things happen, I know, and it gave us a chance to present a better face to the next buyer. We still had an accepted offer on the house we want.

Then we drove up to Ellensburg to visit our middle daughter and grandson and I got to give a talk and a workshop at Unity of Yakima, which were so well received. It was a rich weekend with friends and family. The 4 hour drive (that’s all on me these days) wasn’t too bad.

Because 2 weeks ago the fire horse arrived. It seemed like a normal horse—until I got on.

My youngest daughter texted me a picture of a house in her neighborhood that was for sale. Unlike ours, this home is one story and has a third bedroom. And it’s 2 streets away from her family’s house.

When I saw the house, I just had an inexplicable knowing that this was a good idea for us. Even though I loved my home of 12 years and all my neighbors and never wanted to move. But this inkling had life and so I called a friend who is a mortgage broker that same day and talked over the math of the opportunity. With her encouragement, I spoke to a realtor I know at a networking event the next day. That was a Wednesday. She came over to view the property and told me I’d need to take down all the pictures and make the room look less cluttered and more spacious. My decorating style is pictures (mostly family photos) in every possible spot. This photo is one small corner, just to give you an idea.

What did you do Memorial Day weekend?

I packed. And packed. All weekend. I also had unexpected help. My grandson’s dad hauled all the boxes downstairs to the garage on Saturday morning and came back for more on Sunday evening. My neighbors had graciously offered to w**d my little front yard. When they found out we were going to move, they also offered to power wash the back deck to remove evidence of all the birds who flock to my feeders. Monday my daughter and son-in-law came over and packed up my entire office and hauled more boxes downstairs. They w**d whacked the back yard and made a big dump run.

On Tuesday, my realtor called a different photographer. Her regular person couldn’t come for another week. This new guy had a cancellation that very day and took our listing pictures.

On Wednesday we went to see the house my daughter had texted me. It was perfect for us and our realtor turned our offer in on Thursday. It got accepted Friday. My oldest daughter came over Thursday and helped me sort through everything in my office closet so people could see something besides clutter and hauled those boxes down.

We had our first showing on Friday, before the open house scheduled for Saturday. That showing led to an offer the same day which, after some back and forth over the weekend, we accepted on Sunday.

I’m still in awe. Also drowning in paperwork and more packing.

šŸ“ŒPut a pin in that

Because I wrote everything above this line 2 weeks ago.

A Deep Medicine for Trauma Review šŸƒ

Deep Medicine for Trauma lives up to its name—offering a multidimensional exploration of healing that goes far beyond symptom relief. It is a sacred and smart invitation to heal from the inside out.

With poetic power and clinical depth, it blends story, hypnotherapy, and radical self- trust to reach the subconscious—where inherited wounds and internalized beliefs quietly live—and return us to the garden within. A true guide for those ready to shine their lovelight fully.

As a neuroscience-based coach and Infinite Possibilities trainer, I found each chapter to be a compelling call to expand what we believe is possible in trauma recovery and emotional integration. From inherited trauma to developmental wounds, from subconscious healing to spiritual reclamation, this book doesn’t just offer insight—it facilitates transformation.

For anyone seeking healing that touches the nervous system, the energy field, and the soul—Deep Medicine for Trauma is wise, beautiful, and deeply needed.

This beautiful Amazon review is so humbling! Thank you Lisa Robles Jordan.
5 out of 5 starsHighly Recommend!

Jane Hiatt is the real deal.

As someone who has personally worked with Jane as a hypnotherapist, I can say the compassion, wisdom, and integrity reflected in this book are exactly who she is. Jane has an extraordinary ability to create a safe space where healing can happen, helping people uncover the roots of old wounds while guiding them toward greater peace, self-understanding, and freedom.

Deep Medicine for Trauma beautifully captures what makes her work so powerful. Rather than offering a one-size-fits-all approach, Jane shares stories, insights, and perspectives that encourage readers to explore healing at a deeper level. Her writing is thoughtful, engaging, and full of hope.

What I appreciate most about Jane is that she is both brilliantly intelligent and deeply trustworthy. She approaches healing with compassion, authenticity, and a genuine desire to help others reclaim their lives. Her work has had a meaningful impact on my own journey, and I am grateful for her guidance.

If you are looking for a book that explores healing beyond the surface and offers inspiration for personal transformation, I highly recommend this book.

šŸ¦‰There is a version of you that existed before life got complicated. This recording will take you back to find it.

Luminous, Ancient, Wise is a guided hypnosis journey that begins in the quiet depths of your own inner light and moves into an ancient, living forest, where something timeless and wise is waiting. Through rich sensory imagery of cedar and earth, moonlight and owl calls, you are gently guided toward the path that belongs to you alone, the one your heart already knows, even when your mind has forgotten.

Along the way, you will meet the lies you have carried about your worth, your talents, and your possibilities. And you will find your way through them, emerging clearer, cleaner, and more yourself than when you began.

You were luminous before the world told you otherwise.

Press play and remember.

🌺A HYPNOTHERAPY SERIES
WITH JANE HIATT 🌺

The Summer of Love | Ending The War Inside Us

We keep having wars because war, and the hatred that fuels it, lives inside of us. This summer, we go within to find it, face it, and replace it with something more powerful.

✨WHY THIS SERIES, WHY NOW
What if we can put an end to war?

On Memorial Day, we honor those who gave their lives in service to their country.

While I honor the sacrifice of all who served, I am so beyond tired of adding to their numbers. I can’t imagine my grandchildren being forced to go to war and I don’t want anybody else’s children to experience that either.

As a college student in the Vietnam era, I remember all the songs and the protests against that war. We were so naĆÆve, thinking we could stop war. All war.

What if that instinct wasn't wrong, only the strategy was? Protests, after all, are a warlike strategy. They push against. They oppose. They divide.

"I believe that we keep having wars because war, and the hatred that fuels it, lives inside of us. We are addicted to thinking of ourselves as victims and others as enemies."

~JanešŸƒ

War doesn't only affect soldiers. Its devastation extends to civilians, loved ones, the economy, the land, and all the creatures that inhabit it. It lives in our ancestry, in our cells, and in our collective consciousness.

What we need is deep medicine.
Not a protest. A transformation... from the inside out. That is what this series is designed to provide.

šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡øOn Memorial Day evening, this Monday at 6:00 Pacific time, I’m hosting a thirty minute program on Zoom called How Hypnosis Can Help War Trauma.

This is particularly for people who are new to the idea of hypnosis or have never thought about using it in this way.

I’ll be talking about the power of hypnosis and opening up for Q&A and giving a mini guided experience. I’d love to see your face there and, since you probably already understand that hypnosis can help war trauma, I’d even more appreciate you spreading the word to people you know who might be receptive. I think I’m safe in guessing that everybody has some war trauma.

I’m charging $5 for this program and it will all go to Central Oregon Veterans Outreach. šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø

Please help me by spreading the word and also participating in the Summer of Love. Together we can make a difference

šŸ™šŸ½Treasuring our connection,
Jane (she/her/hers)
