A collective of over 60 local Artists. Hand crafted and locally designed items range from soap to fine art, clothing, accessories, home decor, etc...

By creating a space with open, active work studios, a community table that is available for public use and hold creative arts classes, and housing a place of exchange between makers and buyers we believe we can bring the power of economy back into our own hands. Whether handmade soaps, metal works, home decor or fashionable clothing, we hope makers of every kind will find respite within our old brick walls. www.theworkhousebend.com

We have some amazing news!

On June 13th, The Workhouse and Café des Chutes had the honor of hosting a fundraiser for our friend and artist Megan Marie Myers. Between raffle ticket sales, community-donated art, Megan's own work, the bar, the café, and the auction, this community raised a grand total of $12,180 in a single evening.

Every dollar goes directly to Megan, separate from her GoFundMe, which continues to raise funds alongside this.

To everyone who came, donated, bid, bought a raffle ticket, ordered a drink, or simply showed up, THANK YOU. You made something really beautiful happen.

If you missed the event, there are still donated items available for purchase at The Workhouse, with all proceeds going directly to Megan. And her GoFundMe remains open for anyone who wants to contribute: https://loom.ly/H2R18nM

This is what community looks like. 💖

Your cheese board called.

Smoked Jalapeño Jam from Sakari Farms is in the shop, and it is something special! Farm-grown jalapeños smoked over apple and oak wood, with Alma Paprika peppers added for depth of flavor and that beautiful color. A little spicy. A lot of everything else.

And the farm behind it? Equally remarkable. Sakari Farms is a women and enrolled Native owned farm in Tumalo, growing Native American First Foods. They also house a Pacific Northwest Tribal Seed Bank dedicated to regional and national Tribal Members.

Tag who you want to share that cheese board with!

If you've spent any time at The Workhouse, chances are you've already fallen for the work of Heidi Weiss Hoffman of HWH Ceramics. She's been part of our community for a while now, and we never get tired of talking about her.

Based in Tumalo, just outside Bend, Heidi hand-builds ceramic vessels that are deeply rooted in the landscapes, textures, and travels that inspire her. Her path to ceramics is one of our favorite kinds of stories. After decades in the restaurant and food industry, she discovered ceramics through a class at Central Oregon Community College. And then she never looked back.

Her work features minimalist, organic forms with subtle irregularities and tactile surfaces that echo mid-century ceramic design and the natural world around her. Earthy. Grounded. Quietly beautiful. The kind of piece that feels like it was always meant to be in your home.

Come see what's new in the shop!

Central Oregon in puzzle form.

Lindsay Gilmore puzzles are in the shop based on her original landscape paintings of some of our favorite places right here in Central Oregon.

Smith Rock · Three Sisters · Tumalo Falls · Sparks Lake · The Deschutes River

The kind of puzzle you frame when you're done.

Briar from Wild River Rose has two beautiful new herbal bath soak scents in the shop, Mountain Air and Fresh Mint, and we are obsessed.

Each bag is crafted with mineral-rich Dead Sea salts, Epsom salts, and magnesium chloride flakes, blended with essential oils and dried botanicals for real therapeutic benefit. And tucked inside every bag? A small gemstone to use during your soak. 💎 Because Briar thinks of everything.

🏔️ Mountain Air is infused with eucalyptus, spearmint, and lemon, cooling, bright, and invigorating. It's the feeling of stepping outside into clean mountain air after a long day, bottled and brought into your bath. Perfect for restoring after a hike, a hard week, or simply a day that asked too much of you.

🌿 Fresh Mint is a crisp, uplifting blend of citrus, cooling mint, and rosemary, invigorating yet grounding. It refreshes tired muscles, supports circulation, and restores clarity and energy. The ideal morning reset or a revitalizing evening soak that leaves you feeling completely recharged.

Your body called. It wants this. 🛁 Come find both scents at The Workhouse in Bend, Oregon.

There's a reason a letterpress card feels different the moment you hold it.

Susan of Green Bird Press prints every card right here in her studio at The Workhouse, running each one through the press by hand, multiple times depending on how many colors are used. That slight impression you feel when you run your finger across the surface? That's not a side effect. That's the whole point. It's what makes letterpress printing one of the most tactile, intimate forms of craft still practiced today.

Her cards are in the shop right now, perfectly timed for graduates, dads, birthdays, anniversaries, just because moments, and everything in between.
