We’re enjoying this beautiful November day at Busse Ranch.

Seasonal changes...the sun is setting earlier and rising later by mere minutes every day. In spite of the shorter days, we welcome the cooler nights and the relief of the hot summer temperatures. One of our solar arrays is equipped with a sensor that tracks the sun's movement and resets itself in the evening as darkness falls, all in preparation for the next opportunity to capture some kilowatts at first light. It was beautiful tonight.

For a long time now I've been asking WHY --

Why do we have to accept a non-stop increase in autism, childhood obesity, cancers, chronic diseases...

WHY?

Why are all these things happening? And why mostly in the past 20-30 years?

What is happening with our food supply? Pharmaceuticals? Medical industry?

WHY are microplastics being discovered in brains, reproductive organs, breast milk -- just to name a few. :(

WHY was fluoride added to drinking water, pretty much across the board? (Hint: Fluoride isn't in the water of most people around the world, and they're doing just fine.)

Doesn't it make more sense to talk about STOPPING the increases in cancers, etc. instead of coming up with yet another drug?

I want answers, and you should, too. How has YOUR life or the lives of the people you love been impacted by a flow of toxins in everything?

What if we didn't have to live that way? Well, here's a promising start:

The sunsets out here are always spectacular. Tonight, the ball of fire rested perfectly between the North and Middle Sisters of the Cascade Range as it continued on its path.

We've added a couple of Highland bulls to the ranch. How handsome are these boys!

The Northern Lights sure put on a show last night!

I took some hay out to the cattle this afternoon and Sage went along for the ride. I wish there was enough room for a buddy seat in the tractor. She did a great job. And look at those clouds!

It's a great day to be outside!

We’re having a cold snap in Central Oregon and the cattle are handling it well. It was -2 degrees when we were out there with them this afternoon filling their water and checking on things. They’re built for this and take all it in stride.

Smoke 'em if ya got 'em. Wildfire season makes for some colorful sunsets, I guess. The cattle are handling it well.
