Today was our day to Pump It for Parkinson's! Thanks to all the residents and staff who joined us to raise awareness of Parkinson’s disease and the benefits of exercise in the lives of those who live with it!

Our residents and staff are coming together on April 9 for NIFS Pump it for Parkinson’s. We are pumped to participate in this nationwide event helping to raise awareness for the benefits of exercise for those living with Parkinson’s Disease!

It wouldn’t be St Paddy’s without a visit from our friendly, local leprechaun! Thanks to the Senior Center for having us at the Annual St Patrick’s Day Dinner & Dance!

We had a wonderful time celebrating our residents who have “Aged to Perfection!” What a gift it is to work with so many wonderful folks! Thank you being here with us 🥂

Way to go, Muriel! So proud to have you as a resident!

Volunteers are the heart of the Museum, and every so often, we get to honor someone whose impact is literally carved into our story. This year, that’s Muriel Carbiener. From Living History to Collections and Education, she’s given 30 years and nearly 15,000 hours of her time to help this place come alive. Her name etched in Spirit of the West is a tiny clue to her enormous legacy. And she’s one of many. Together, our volunteers donated more than 17,800 hours this past year, welcomed thousands of visitors, cared for wildlife spaces, protected priceless objects, and shaped experiences that reach far beyond our walls. Thank you volunteers, for everything you give. The High Desert Museum wouldn’t be the treasure it is without you.

What an incredible evening we had helping Hospice of Redmond celebrate their Festival of Trees 🎄 What better way than to share our fabulous desserts? Pumpkin, eggnog, peppermint, cranberry — all the best flavors of the holiday season! Until next year 🥂

Kicking December off with a fabulous week, starting with two performances of the live radio play “Miracle on 34th Street.” The staff and residents did an amazing job telling the classic story! We have a packed schedule of live music, celebrations, and more coming up all month!
