💜🐴 A Huge Thank You to Purina and Our Amazing Rep, Miley! 🐴💜

This is what support looks like.

Every couple of weeks, Miley rolls in with another load of Purina feed to help keep the horses of TK Barrelhorses and Central Oregon Riding Academy healthy, happy, and performing at their best.

From performance horses chasing rodeo dreams to lesson horses helping riders build confidence, proper nutrition is the foundation of everything we do. We’re incredibly grateful for Purina’s partnership and belief in our program.

The horses here enjoy a variety of Purina products, including:
✔️ Ultium Gastric Care
✔️ Impact Professional Performance
✔️ WellSolve L/S
✔️ Quality hay and a feeding program designed around each horse’s individual needs

It takes a village to care for the horses that care for so many people, and we are thankful to have Purina and Miley as part of ours.

Please join us in thanking Purina and Miley for their continued support of our horses, riders, and program. 💜

📣 SCHOOL'S OUT FOR SUMMER! 🐴☀️

Looking for something meaningful, educational, and confidence-building for your child this summer?

At Central Oregon Riding Academy, we do more than teach kids how to ride horses—we teach them how to understand them.

Our program is built on a horsemanship foundation, helping students learn:

✔ Horse behavior and communication
✔ Safe horse handling skills
✔ Grooming, saddling, and horse care
✔ Balance, timing, and riding fundamentals
✔ Confidence and leadership
✔ Responsibility and work ethic
✔ Partnership before performance

Whether a student dreams of barrel racing, trail riding, horse ownership, or simply wants to spend time around horses, we believe success starts with understanding the horse first.

Unlike many lesson programs that focus only on riding, our students learn what happens before, during, and after they get in the saddle. They develop the knowledge and skills needed to become confident horsemen and horsewomen—not just riders.

🐴 Beginner through advanced riders welcome
🐴 Youth and adult lesson opportunities available
🐴 Limited summer openings

If your child is ready to learn, grow, and build confidence through horses, we'd love to meet them.

✨ Proud Coach Moment ✨

Last night was one of those moments that reminds me why I love doing what I do.

Ashton was entered in the race, and I asked her if she wanted to run Lilly. Now… that’s kind of like asking a kid if they want to drive a Maserati. 😄

The funny part is Ashton has only ridden Lilly a handful of times and had never worked the barrel pattern on her before. But that didn’t stop her from stepping up, saddling up, and giving it a go.

They went in there and made a beautiful run, finishing 4th in the 2D and bringing home some money.

But the thing that made me the proudest wasn’t the placing.

It was the people behind the run.

I am incredibly proud of Lilly, who continues to show what a special mare she is.

I’m also proud of Jailyn, who has spent the last year and a half riding and working with Lilly, helping her become patient and confident with younger riders. That kind of consistency and dedication matters.

And I’m so proud of Ashton, who is the definition of a go-getter. She shows up, works hard, listens, learns, and is willing to do whatever it takes to get better.

Watching these young riders grow, gain confidence, and develop real horsemanship is exactly what Central Oregon Riding Academy and TK Barrelhorses is all about.

It’s not just about running barrels.
It’s about building work ethic, responsibility, patience, and confidence—both in the horse and in the rider.

These kids are doing amazing things, and I truly believe they are going to do big things in the future.

I feel incredibly grateful to be part of their journey. ❤️

If you have a young rider who wants to learn horsemanship, build confidence, and grow as a rider, we always love welcoming new students into the program.
