Applications and nominations are NOW OPEN for the Weaver Awards! The Weaver Awards offer $2,500–$5,000 microgrants for individuals, groups, and small nonprofits in Central Oregon who are building relationships, strengthening belonging, and weaving trust into the fabric of our communities.

Residents in Bend’s Romaine Village are working with local students to clear wildfire hazards and create defensible space around homes. The effort is helping elderly and disabled homeowners reduce fire risk ahead of wildfire season.

They are offering $75 to residents who participate in 1-hour focus groups at the following locations: Madras, Warm Springs, Bend, Redmond, La Pine, and Prineville.
