Honored to be elected to serve with Chair Barnes Dholokia and so thrilled with all the amazing work Shimiko Montgomery has done over the last four years!
Introducing to you, Dr. Cameron Fischer (far left), your newly elected Zone 3 school board member!!! She will be replacing me on the board and I couldn’t be more thrilled. A huge congrats to Cameron, Melissa Dholakia (center), and Amy Tatom on winning their elections!
(As of 11 PM, the Zone 7 race with Kina Chadwick in the lead has not been called, so I will be anxiously waiting for those results.)

I want to thank everyone who supported my campaign. You donated, volunteered, and engaged because we shared a vision for a school board that boosts learning overall through increased engagement, belonging, and partnership.
I will prioritize all students having equitable access to safe, nurturing, and welcoming schools. Every single student deserves to be valued and respected for who they are, engaged in their learning journey, and supported in their pathway to academic success.
Thank you to everyone who encouraged me to run and cheered me on throughout the process! Your support means so much to me. I am excited about this opportunity to serve our students, families, and Bend-La Pine community!
In partnership,
Cameron

Schools can’t do it alone. To ensure high quality public education for all students, partnerships are essential for students to be as healthy as possible – mentally, emotionally, physically, and academically.
I pledge to protect limited educational resources by expanding school-community partnerships and cultivating collective action to address shared problems like the mental health crisis, homelessness, school security, technology issues, workforce shortages, and learning loss.

All students deserve to feel safe, supported, and valued in their schools – and it is essential for learning.
I pledge to promote a greater sense of belonging for all students, families, and educators by advocating for more bullying prevention and intervention training and by encouraging more collaborative and inclusive school communities in order to increase learning, and reduce chronic absenteeism, suspensions, and other disciplinary issues.

Earlier this week it was wonderful to attend the Sprout Film Festival presented by Full Access High Desert and Central Oregon Disability Support Network! When it comes to diverse abilities we need to keep making the invisible visible in our schools and our greater Central Oregon community.
