This past weekend was life-giving for our CG community! Friday evening was our Agape Feast with Zach and Carrie highlighting how God has been moving in their lives. Saturday was our service project day at the Spring Thing event at Smith Rock! We redid the holds, retaining walls, and bark next to the bouldering walls. We hope to see ya at our LifeGroups this weekend at the Harris’s home on Friday and the Bautista’s home on Saturday. šŸ”ļø ā˜€ļø 🌲

This past weekend we talked about how we are all identity-seekers. And right now there’s a strong pull to anchor our identity in partisanship and nationality. With ā€œChristianā€ often layered in as a way to set ourselves a part from others.
…
But Jesus’s teachings and example actually point us in a different direction.
…
We are all invited as identity-seekers to put our deepest roots exclusively in the soil of being infinitely loved, valued, and needed in the world.
…
As a reminder, there are no LifeGroups with weekend with Gathers happening Friday at 6pm at the Littlefields Home. You can find more on our website under our Gathers page. Looking forward to seeing everyone there! šŸŒž

Join us for an Agape Feast on April 24 starting at 6pm at the Littlefield’s home. We believe some of the most meaningful moments happen in community. This Agape Feast is a chance to slow down, celebrate goodness in our lives, support one another, and worship together. Agape means love—the kind of love that shows up for each other, shares burdens, and creates space to be known. Address is 60280 Windsong Ln in Bend. šŸŒž

We hope you’ll join us at Spring Thing at Smith Rock on April 25th! We’ve partnered with Smith Rock Group again this year and have a project to tackle! We’ll be removing and replacing the current retaining walls around the base of the boulders and the bark chips within at the parking/bivy bouldering area. Our efforts will help bring much needed renovation to these iconic park features at Smith Rock. Sign in starts at 7:30AM with breakfast and coffee provided. šŸ§—šŸ§—ā€ā™€ļøšŸ§—ā€ā™‚ļø To join us, we’ll need you to register via the link in our bio.

Last weekend, we continued our series on ā€œThe Shadows: Living Between Darkness and Lightā€ and focused on conflict—in our lives and communities. We reflected on moments from Jesus’ life during Holy Week, a week full of deep conflict, and the principles He modeled for us:
1ļøāƒ£ Conflict doesn’t mean God is absent.
2ļøāƒ£ Others in conflict aren’t ā€œthe enemy.ā€ā€Ø3ļøāƒ£ Self-justification and self-saving corrupt Christlike conflict.
4ļøāƒ£ Navigating conflict with self-sacrificing love reflects Christ.
5ļøāƒ£ On the other side of Christlike conflict is restoration and resurrection.
šŸ”ļø
Being a community that remembers these principles cultivates healing and draws others toward Jesus.
