Dining at home is healthier and definitely cheaper. It’s easy to steam up a mixture of different vegetables and of course we don’t add any fat, just straight up veggies with seasoning. Prepared a homemade plant based sausage as well, no fat or salt.

I need to share I made a plant based sausage for the first time and will say it turned out great. I plan on altering the recipe to my preferences. The reason I had to start making my own is I had bought a store brand of sausage substitute and as I cut into one a small dead worm popped out and I can no longer eat a pre-made packed fake sausage. I would rather eat meat before I ever purchase a Morning Star product again.

Fresh mashed potatoes, mushroom gravy, farm fresh corn, all prepared with no dairy, no sodium added. Why wait for Thanksgiving Dinner 😀
When your craving take out pizza, order one with no cheese, bring it home and add a non dairy cheese substitute. Quite tasty !

Hummus with a fresh grown cherry tomato on a corn chip, delicious!
Hummus is our go to snack everyday. We buy 3 flavors, garlic, red pepper and original. We mix all 3 together and add one can of garbanzo beans (blended in a food processor with some water). This lowers the salt and fat content. The flavor is perfect! Give it a try. Let us know how you like it. 😀

Mediterranean Lentil and Spinach Soup . I did not have the zucchini or yellow squash so I substituted a sweet potato. It was amazingly delicious!

Brighten your day with a bouquet, you deserve it!
I find cooking at home is the best way to control your sodium and fat intake. We all enjoy going out to eat but at the end of the day we all know that we over eat salt and oil’s from dining out.

Vegan cinnamon rolls. Tried a new recipe, it now is a keeper! I bought organic white and wheat flour and mixed them. I did not use all the flour it called for. Once rolled out I spread on the amount of earth balance I thought it needed as well as cinnamon, I also use brown sugar. They were tender and tasty.
