A collaboration between our Whatcom Working Waterfront Coalition, Bellingham SeaFeast, and KMRE 88.3 Community Radio, the monthly podcast explores waterfront news, events, and the stories of the people and places making our waterfronts unique.

Mayor Kim Lund has issued a special Executive Order aimed at revitalizing our downtown and business sectors, with one aspect focused on our maritime trades and waterfront development. Per the City's announcement of the order,
"Acting on the findings of a recent industrial lands study by the Port of Bellingham, the City will advance protections for Bellingham industries and preserve the land base that employers depend on – within the waterfront and in other industrial-zoned land in the city.
“Our existing industrial lands support businesses with good-paying jobs, including some that have called Bellingham home for generations. We want to keep it that way.” said Mayor Lund."
Many of the proclamations and strategies outlined have been advocated for by organizations like the Working Waterfront Coalition, Bellingham Chamber of Commerce, Whatcom Business Alliance, and others.

We had a chat with a member this morning who asked us if we knew anything about the upcoming candidates for Port of Bellingham Commission. 'How will people know about them?' they asked.
Stay Tuned! We are right in the middle of filming candidate interviews with many of the individuals running in the primary and will be posting them to our page here, our youtube, and our website, starting the first week of July.
