Clean energy, no rooftop required!
The new community solar project at Fisherman's Pavilion is now online, giving community members a simple way to support local solar and receive utility bill credits without installing panels at home.
We're proud to have partnered with the Port of Bellingham, Puget Sound Energy, Silfab Solar Inc., and Cascadia Renewables to make it happen. ☀️

Really proud to see the Fishermen’s Pavilion Community Solar project highlighted by Cascadia Daily News.
This project, built in partnership with the Port of Bellingham and Puget Sound Energy, helps expand access to solar for community members who may not be able to install it themselves, whether due to renting, shading, or other limitations. A portion of the project is also reserved for income qualified participants.
Projects like this are important because they connect clean energy, affordability, and community infrastructure in a very real way. Proud of our Western Solar crew for helping bring it to life and pretty cool seeing our trucks and team in the article photos.
Excited to see more community solar projects come to Whatcom County.

This is a big one for our community.
The Fisherman’s Pavilion is getting a rooftop solar array that will allow more people in Whatcom County to access clean, local energy without installing solar on their own home.
Proud to be working alongside the Port of Bellingham and Puget Sound Energy to make this happen.
More to come as this project comes together.

Western Solar is proud to partner with the Port of Bellingham and Puget Sound Energy on this new solar installation at the Fisherman’s Pavillion, as part of PSE’s Community Solar program. Community solar opens the door for those who can’t install solar at home, while still earning credits on their power bill and supporting renewable energy right here in Whatcom County. It’s a great example of local collaboration supporting our community, and we’re proud to be a part of it!

We're having some great conversations today at our free battery backup clinic! We've got several more battery workshops coming up in May. Head over to our Upcoming Events page to register and save your spot! https://www.westernsolarinc.com/events/
We are getting more emails like this lately.
A local homeowner reached out this morning to revisit a solar and battery quote from a few years ago.
What changed?
Power prices. Uncertainty. And perspective.
At the same time, the technology has improved. Today’s panels are more efficient, higher output, and roughly 100 watts stronger than they were just a few years ago.
And we are here. Four crews, installing every week.
If you’ve been thinking about solar, you are not alone. A lot has changed.
Check your utility. It might be time to take another look. To our customers, it's time to tell your friends about us.

This is what being a good neighbor looks like.
A neighbor’s tree fell across her driveway last night. She doesn’t have the tools to clear it and suddenly couldn’t get her car out to go to work.
So I grabbed my chainsaw and started cutting.
Two neighbors joined in. Then an arborist couple pulled over, grabbed their chipper, and jumped into action.
Driveway cleared. Problem solved.
This is how community is built.
Huge thanks to Robin Dittrich and his partner from The Road Home for stepping in after a long day to help a neighbor.
Safety done right looks like this.
Today the entire Western Solar team stepped away from the roofs and into CPR and first aid training. Keeping our skills sharp means our crews are ready to take care of each other and the communities we serve.
Serious training. Serious commitment to safety.
Also serious tamales. Huge thanks to New Mexico Tamale Company for fueling the team.
