The Confluence Fly Shop

We still have a few spots in our Intro to Stillwater Fly Tying class in Wednesday, March 11that the Confluence. We’ll focus on tying several of our favorite lake flies from chironomids to attractor patterns. Link in bio for more information and to sign up.

We’re stoked to welcome Jordan Young-Treadway from Treadwaters Fly back to the Confluence for another winter steelhead tube fly tying class. Come learn what tubes are all about. We’re going to miss this kid around the shop as he’s heading off to college on Monday. It’s been an absolute pleasure working and fishing with .b_gnarrr. We’re proud to have you as part of the Confluence Fly Shop team. To all the steelhead on Vancouver Island…watch out! Teo is one fishy dude. We will look forward to having him back at the shop over winter break. In the meantime, we’ll think fondly of Teo every time we find another piece of pink marabou in some hidden corner of the shop.

Two years ago this week we moved out of tiny little box in the Harbor Mall this got us through our first 10 years. Thanks for being there to support us along the way and help us grow to what we are today. Hoping to be your local fly shop for many years to come!

Got to practice for the Northwest heat wave with a week chasing baby tarpon in the Yucatán, Mexico on our annual Confluence Fly Shop hosted trip to Tarpon Cay Lodge. Flamingos, saltwater crocs, a great group of anglers, incredible food and hospitality at Yuum Ha in Rio Lagartos and of course a special thanks to the many beautiful sabalitos that got suckered by our fur and feathers on a hook each day.
