Laughing Hamster Comedy fest is coming your way Bellingham WA!

Oct 13 through Oct 18 2025 Uisce Irish Pub Rumors Cabaret, WWU Underground Coffee House, Larrabee Lager Company, The Upfront Theatre, Corner Taphouse and The Blue Room will come alive with laughter!

This will be a curated collection of both free and ticketed shows. This fest is a homegrown B'ham labor of love that will highlight all of the already occurring local standup comedy shows and the venues that regularly host comedy in town.
We will be featuring local comedians as well as some of the best and brightest comedy talent the PNW has to offer.

🎤 LHCF 2025 FEATURED PERFORMER 🎤 Meet B’hams most prolific and talented comedian, Brett Emerson .marksthespot

A refugee from Wisconsin, Brett Emerson has done time as a music journalist, a special education teacher, and the lead singer for a punk band based on Saved by the Bell. When the newest iteration of the Bellingham standup comedy scene started up ten years ago, Brett got in on the ground floor and has been a consistent presence ever since. He was a participant in the 2022 Seattle International Comedy Competition and is currently releasing episodes of Karate Tolstoy, a podcast where he forces another comedian to read the worst book ever written. His comedy style is black as night and surreal as a unicorn working retail.

Jes Anderson is an up-and-coming comic dedicated to sharing her crazy life with the world. Raised in the heart of Appalachia and currently living in Dupont, Washington, she squeezes stories and curious observations out from the rocks of her experiences. She has two, soon to be teenage children, who she is co-parenting with her one, soon to be ex-husband.
Jes has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in comedy, including the legendary Bobcat Goldthwait, Brian Posehn, Donnell Rawlings, Brad Williams and Jay Mohr. Her impressive resume includes being selected for the 16th Annual NW Women’s Comedy Festival and working with top-tier comics like Gabe Rutledge, Monica Nevi, and Nate Jackson.
Jes, known for her spontaneous wit, intertwines her humor with a unique charm – a result of her trademark swaying back and forth that mirrors the rhythm of her own comedic beat. With each step, she not only conquers the stage but also battles her own anxiety, turning vulnerability into strength and laughter into a universal language.
