The floods aren’t just “weather events.” They’re a symptom of something much bigger. Our landscapes are dehydrated, drained, and covered in hard surfaces, leaving nowhere for rainwater to go. This is one of the biggest ecological challenges of our time, yet it barely gets discussed. There is a solution: decentralized water retention. By holding water in the earth and returning it to the ground, we can prevent floods, droughts, and ecological collapse. It’s simple. It works. And it starts with how we manage water where it falls.
