Okay, honest question…
Does anyone else hear God on the toilet? 😂
Ted J. Hanson
For me, it wasn’t because bathrooms are sacred places.
It was because it was one of the few times I’d actually stop moving.
I was so busy working, doing, and trying that I didn’t realize God had been speaking all along.
He wasn’t waiting for me to figure everything out.
He was simply loving me.
Because hearing God isn’t primarily about knowing what to do.
It’s about knowing Him.
And knowing Him is about discovering who He says you are.
❤️ Maybe you don’t need more striving.
Maybe you just need to slow down long enough to recognize the God who’s already near.
👇 Be honest… where do you hear God most clearly?

I want to encourage someone today:
If you feel like the presence of God is missing from your life, be encouraged.
You’re closer than you think.
Sometimes it feels like we’re not doing enough. Like we need to pray more, worship more, or somehow try harder to get back to God.
But Jesus didn’t make relationship complicated.
You’re abiding.
His presence is already with you.
Take a deep breath and acknowledge the Presence that’s already there.
You’re not behind.
You’re not failing.
You’re not forgotten.
You are loved, and God is nearer than you realize.
David Wyldoaks
❤️ Be encouraged. You’re closer than you think.
👇 Who needs to hear this today?

Gehenna was an actual valley outside Jerusalem with a painful history.
It became known as a place where generations were sacrificed and later where garbage was continually burned. By Jesus’ day, Gehenna had become a powerful picture.
Jesus used Gehenna to warn about the consequences of choosing destructive paths—about sacrificing the future to satisfy the flesh.
His warnings were never about delighting in punishment.
They were invitations into life.
God’s judgment is mercy setting things right.
His heart is always restoration, redemption, and freedom from the things that destroy us.
👇 Had you ever studied the meaning of Gehenna before? What stands out to you?

When Revelation speaks about eternal fire and judgment, it’s easy to read those passages through the lens of fear.
But throughout Scripture, God’s judgment is consistently aimed at defeating evil and restoring what has been broken.
An unquenchable fire is a fire that cannot be stopped until it has completed its work.
God’s judgment is not the triumph of evil.
It is the triumph of love.
It is mercy setting things right.
Jesus revealed the heart of the Father through healing, restoration, forgiveness, and self-giving love. God’s judgment flows from that same heart.
Love wins because God wins.

Many Christians are surprised to learn that the first word translated as “hell” in the Old Testament is the Hebrew word Sheol.
In Scripture, Sheol refers to:
The grave
The place of the dead
The realm of the departed
For example, David writes that even if he makes his bed in Sheol, God is there.
Jonah also describes crying out from Sheol while in the belly of the fish.
Whether you’ve studied this topic before or not, taking time to understand the original Hebrew and Greek words can open up new insights into Scripture and help us better understand the heart of God.

For many people, hell has been understood as a place of endless torture and suffering.
But what if one of the most important questions we can ask is:
What did Jesus reveal about God?
Jesus said that if you’ve seen Him, you’ve seen the Father.
He healed.
He restored.
He forgave.
He loved.
So how should that shape our understanding of judgment, justice, and God’s heart toward humanity?
This isn’t about avoiding difficult questions.
It’s about letting Jesus define what God is like.
👇 We’d love to hear your thoughts. What has shaped your understanding of this topic?
