After much consideration, conversation and thought, I have decided not to pursue a new location for Kebab Casual. As many of you heard (likely from me), we had an opportunity to build a new truck to operate in the thick of Bellingham’s waterfront development. The Food Trucker in me couldn’t say no to that, but once the dust settled and the weight of this undertaking settled, it was time to take a breath and evaluate the true commitment behind this venture.
Running Food Trucks and Restaurants is difficult work. Every day I am humbled by the time that my restaurant peers put in and what they’re willing to sacrifice for success. I am ever grateful for the lessons, connections and stories that this challenge has brought me. Most of all, I’m blessed to have the opportunity to take a step back, and take a deep breath.
Breathe in, Breathe out.
Kebab Casual as it existed is no more. We have no plans to expand, move, or build a new location. There’s a lot to be bummed about, and I’ll miss my daily Chicken Shawarma wrap with Garlic Aioli and Feta. That being said, this is a big weight off my shoulders, and I’m grateful for the ability to step away.

So, what’s next? There’ll be a lot of familiar faces working at the Carve Casual truck, located 7 days a week at Kulshan Brewery K2. Our food there is better than it’s ever been, and there’s a lot of great beer to be had.
I am also joining my good friend Oleg Vetkov selling Restaurant, Brewery & Bar Supplies at Northwest Solutions Inc. I am excited to try out my ‘Used Tire Sales’ schtick in the real world and likely get a few doors slammed in my face.
